The Supplied Air course includes the Respirator Training course which covers the use and care of air-purifying respirators.
Topics included in the Respirator Training course:
- IDLH Atmospheres
- Gas/Vapor Cartridges
- Particle Filters
- Routes of Entry
- Acute and Chronic Health Effects
- Threshold Limit Value (TLV)
- Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL)
The Supplied Air portion of the course represents a very in-depth, comprehensive “hands-on” approach to training employees in the correct and safe use of positive pressure supplied air respirators.
The course covers complete nomenclature and use of:
- Low Pressure Breathing Air - Low Pressure Egress - SCBA’s - All Associated Equipment
All participants will be required to wear and use each type of equipment. Upon successful completion of an exam, participants will be issued a photo ID badge indicating name, Social Security number, and date of expiration. |
